Trimming:
Keep track of your spending for a couple of months and then take
a good, hard look at your spending habits. You'll probably be
surprised when you look back at your records to find you've spent
$300 on pizza or $100 on ice cream. At first glance you will be
likely see some obvious cuts that you can make.
Depending on how much extra you want to save, however, you
may need to make some difficult decisions. Think about your
priorities, and make cuts you can live with. Calculate how much
those cuts will save you per year, and you'll be much more
motivated to skip that ice cream and pizza.
